SISTER MARY MONICA MEEHAN Sister Mary Monica passed away peacefully at the convent of the Good Shepherd in Toronto. The Sisters and numerous members of her family were present. Sister Monica made her first profession in 1949 and went on to serve in Halifax, Windsor and Rome. Later she served in Winnipeg for many years and then went to Toronto where she remained until the time of her death. Interment was on August 28, 2004 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Toronto. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many staff and students at Marymound. She was instrumental in setting up the Marymound Endowment Fund to assist former students who wished to continue their education. In Sister Monicas memory, a donation may be made to the Marymound Endowment Fund.
